Each year we celebrate St Helena’s Day on the closest weekend to the 21st May – the day St Helena was discovered by João da Nova in 1502.

We cook some Plo, some Coconut Fingers, a big Boiled Pudding, some St Helena style Cheese Straws, some Tomato Paste, pieces of Pumpkin Pudding, and some Curry Puffs along with a drop of Goat Curry for friends.  Then we celebrate by eating and drinking, along with some game and tug of war.  It is a good day.  Check out some photos from the day before.

We started something new as well.  Our very first Coconut Finger challenge!  We set the world record for how many Coconut Fingers can be eaten in a minute.  Watch the video before to see who won.  The winner ate a grand total of 3!
